New home theatre at HIA

October 9, 2007

Hi all

Just letting you know we have built a new full high definition display at the Home Ideas Centre in Fyshwick. We are located right next to the cafe. So drop by for a coffee and while you are at it come and see our new full HD theatre in operation.

We have built the theatre with the new home buyer in mind. By using in-wall and in-ceiling speakers (Parasound) and a rocking in-wall Boston VRi sub woofer we have made the room look very minimalistic.

Adding to the discrete feel we have placed the equipment at the back of the room, thus making a real cinema like viewing experience.

The screen is a 84″ 16:9 matrix white Cinemasnap. This comes from Australia’s own projection screen manufacturer Screentechnics. The projector is the new Epson TW1000. This unit has a resolution of 1920×1080 and to quote one of our techno guys after he viewed it for the first time “at last an LCD that can do black!” I must say that at under $4k this must arguably be the best value for money full HD projector on the market.

The finishing touch to the home theatre is the Control4 control system. This unit is like a learning remote on steroids. The whole theatre operates on one remote and it really works. We have been incorporating this system in most of our home theatres and the people who matter most our clients just rave about how easy the system is to use. We are getting the same vibe from people who are using the system at the HIA display.
